HEAVENLY TEA
"WHERE EVERY SIP IS A TASTE OF HEAVEN"
About Our Teas
Heavenly Tea currently carries 23 flavors of speciality tea and our selection is growing.  We are planning to add
17 more flavors to our collection at the start of 2008.  Our tea broker personally selects our Black, Green, White
and Oolong teas from India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, China and Japan.  The fruits and herbs used to make our fruit
tisanes and herbal teas are sourced from both domestic and foreign sources.

Heavenly Tea has chosen to specialize in flavored tea, because we feel flavored tea brings out the fun in tea
drinking.  Our flavors of tea can rival any flavored coffee.  Our teas are low in caffeine and high in antioxidants.
Our herbal teas and fruit tisanes are naturally caffeine-free.

Our White Tea is the purest form of tea, because the leaves are slowly sun-dried not oxidized.  Our Green Tea
leaves are steamed, rolled and dried.  And like the White Tea leaves, the Green Tea leaves are not oxidized;
which is why the Green and White Teas are highest in antioxidants.

Each garden where our loose leaf teas are grown has a tea taster, whose only job is to sample the teas
throughout the day to make sure only the best tea leaves are picked and sent out for you to enjoy.  As you can
see our teas go through a vigorous quality assurance process to make sure you receive the best!

To ensure you receive the most flavor out of your tea, make sure you check out our
Tea Tips Page and read over
the recommended brewing water temperatures for the different types of tea.

Enjoy Your Heavenly Tea Experience!!!

           Health Facts About Tea

The health benefits of the antioxidants in tea are accepted to be far reaching, including:
Anti-bacterial benefits

Anti-viral benefits

Anti-allergenic benefits

Anti-inflammatory benefits

A large amount of research indicates that the antioxidants in tea can have a protective effect against some
cancers such as Breast Cancer and Lung Cancer.  The antioxidants also prevent heart disease and strokes.
Flavonoids, a group of compounds that occur in most fruit and vegetables and in tea, have strong antioxidant
properties similar to those of antioxidant vitamins C and E.  These flavonoids in tea help to protect the body's
cells against damage, for example during the aging process.  The antioxidants of these flavonoids are believed
to protect against Alzheimer's.

                 Tea and Caffeine

Two to four cups of tea per day offer good health benefits without the contradictions of other caffeine-containing
drinks.

The moderate amounts of caffeine in tea consumed during the day can increase concentration, thereby
improving performance.

You take in much less caffeine drinking a cup of tea than drinking a cup of coffee and significantly less than if you
were drinking  "coffee-shop-coffee.

                Tea For Your Teeth

Tea is a natural source of fluoride and drinking three to four cups makes a significant contribution to your daily
fluoride intake.

Regular intake of fluoride protects against tooth decay and gum disease in both adults and children.

A dry mouth can lead to tooth decay- a regular fluid intake, from drinks like tea, helps to prevent the mouth from
becoming too dry.
