Here are a few reasons why drinking tea and participating in a tea fundraiser is great for your organization.
The health benefits of the antioxidants in tea are accepted to be far reaching, including:
- Anti-bacterial benefits
- Anti-viral benefits
- Anti-allergenic benefits
- Anti-inflammatory benefits

A large amount of research indicates that the antioxidants in tea can have a protective effect against some cancers such as Breast Cancer and Lung Cancer.  The antioxidants also prevent heart disease and strokes.

Flavonoids- A group of compounds that occur in most fruit and vegetables and in tea, have strong antioxidant properties similar to those of antioxidant vitamins C and E.

          - These flavonoids in tea help to protect the body's cells against damage, for example during the aging process.
          - The antioxidants of these flavonoids are believed to protect against Alzheimer's.

Tea and Caffeine- Two to four cups of tea per day offer good health benefits without the contradictions of other caffeine-containing drinks.

          - The moderate amounts of caffeine in tea consumed during the day can increase concentration, thereby improving performance.
          - You take in much less caffeine drinking a cup of tea than drinking a cup of coffee and significantly less than if you were drinking & coffee-shop-coffee.

Tea for Your Teeth- Tea is a natural source of fluoride and drinking three to four cups makes a significant contribution to your daily fluoride intake.

           - Regular intake of fluoride protects against tooth decay and gum disease in both adults and children.
           - A dry mouth can lead to tooth decay- a regular fluid intake, from drinks like tea, helps to prevent the mouth from becoming too dry.
